I have got loads of books ready to read, what are you going to read? Have you got any recommendations for the year group?
We are collecting the Flora-Cooking with Schools vouchers.
With these vouchers we can buy ourselves lots of new cooking equipment.
You will find vouchers on packs of flora.
When you have a voucher, either bring it into school and give it to Miss Dakin or get online (www.cookingwithschools.com), find our school and register it.
It’s easy to register your tokens for your school
Simply go online to www.cookingwithschools.com, find your school, register
the token code against your school, and the value will go straight into the
school’s account.
Well done everyone!
We had a fabulous time in Liverpool, especially sailing on the River Mersey.
The museum was great. I learnt so much!
What was the most interesting thing that you found out on our visit?
Hi everyone,
As part of our Ecoschools work in school, we are collecting any old football kits (shirts, socks, shorts, boots) for charity. If you donate any old kit, it will be given to children in countries such as Africa and Romania, so that they can reuse it.
If you would like to donate any football kits, children’s or adult’s, then please bring them into school and put them in the basket in Miss Dakin’s room.
Thanks everyone!
Miss Dx
We are so looking forward to our Liverpool visit this week. Remember to wrap up warm as it can get very cold out on the docks.

If you need help designing and making your dragon mask for World Book Day, why not use one of these templates?

Create a Good Luck Design or write a Good Luck Poem and have it published in our BT Paralympic World Cup Event Programme!!
Also win the chance to have a BT PWC Athlete visit your School and give a masterclass!
For 2010 the BT Paralympic World Cup is giving you a chance to fill a page in our programme with inspiring messages for the World’s Best Para-Athletes helping them to compete at their very best in Manchester from 25 – 31st May.
We would like you to draw a design or write a poem that will welcome our national and international athletes to Manchester and help them win Gold!
The winning poems and designs will be professionally produced on a page of our Event Programme which will be on sale to all spectators so you can see it when you come to see the competition (we’ll also send the winners a copy to keep).
The school with the most entries will also win the chance to have a BT Paralympic World Cup athlete visit their school and give your class a Master Class the week before they compete at the BT PWC!
To enter the competition you need to print off the poem or design template and entry form from http://www.btparalympicworldcup.com/competitions
Once you’ve got your template it’s time to set the creative juices going! When you’re done hand it to me!
There are a few rules for your entry:
1. You must pick one of our sports for your design or poem:

Athletics
If you want to do more than one sport you could create more than one design or poem!
2. Your design or poem can feature anything from a drawing of your favourite athlete, a tribute to one of our international countries, an action shot of the sport or the 100m sprint in rhyme – it’s up to you!
3. Your poem should be no more than 10 lines long, and your designs should be no bigger than the box on the entry form.
4. The competition will close on Friday 30th April 2010 so make sure you get your design to us before then – Good Luck

Why not write your own song for remembering science? Choose a simple song e.g Old MacDonald, then write new lyrics. Post your songs here!
There will be prizes for any I like!
Miss Dx
Hi everyone, I am trying to find out what you all think about Science.
Do you enjoy it?
What do you like/dislike?
Is there anything you would like to do in Science?
Do you find it easy/hard?
If you could post me any comments here, it would really help me understand how to make science even better in our school!
Thanks
Miss Dx
